Pitch Text:

Hello! I'm Alex Westfall, and I'm from Manila, the Philippines. I'm an artist about to begin my first year of college after taking a year off to travel and focus on making art. SILVER HOUR is a publications of photos, drawings, and notes, and I hope to raise enough funds to print 300 copies of it. All taken in Iceland, these dream-like photos are a result of my photographic practice of observing the quiet moments around me. I document the relationship between female bodies and the natural landscape, study different types of light, and walk the tight line between truth and illusion. I think my photos are about the everyday moments that carry a dream-like quality; moments that cause me to re-evaluate and think to myself, ‘is this really happening?’ I love that I can invite people into the little parts of the world that often go unnoticed.
